I have to read the diary of some girl named Alice Williamson
for English. I’m kind of worried because last time I had to read someone’s
diary it was Anne Franks and I’m sorry but some of the stuff she wrote kind of
disturbed me. Anyway this girl is righting for her brothers who are fight in in
the civil war. They’re from the south so I guess that’s why she seems so
bitter. I wish she wouldn't be so upset with northerners its not our fault we
think everything should be perfect. It comes from living so close to Canada.
There is one thing about it that really bothers me though.
At the end it says that some guy Tom Millers is going to be hung but his mom is
going to go see if she can get a pardon but it never says what happened to him.
Did he get hung? Did he get a pardon? The world will never know. I think that
he probably got hung because otherwise she would write it down. But she might
not have had to because her brothers might have come home and seen he was still
alive.
I don’t know why this suddenly became a history class.
Sorry. I don’t even like history that much I just wanted to know if he lived. I
mean he would be dead now either way but it does make some of a difference.
Kind of… I guess. Ok maybe it doesn't but I was just curious.
